These buffalo horn scales are generally black. There will be some occasional white streaks but that just adds to the appearance. The jigging is attractive and aggressive. You will have a good grip with these. A low cost, tough natural material that will be warmer in the hand than micarta or g10.

Tip: When grinding, keep these cool to keep any curl to a minimum. You can't get natural material flat if it is hot. You will just keep chasing a curl that disappears when it cools off.

NOTE: The picture shows a typical set of scales. Since this is natural material and hand jigged, your set will certainly not look exactly like these but should look just as good or we will make it right.
