These buffalo horn scales are smooth flat on the back side and a great looking natural on the face side. The texture, color and pattern is all natural horn material and will make a very interesting and "grippy" handle. People will say "What is that" and then "Cool"...

In use, round off the edges to fit your hand but try and keep as much of the "natural" surface as possible. Thin from the back to your preference.

Tip: When grinding, keep these cool to keep any curl to a minimum. You can't get natural material flat if it is hot. You will just keep chasing a curl that disappears when it cools off.
