This is from Hawaii. I bought two nice boards with full curly figure all the way through. This stuff is not cheap but when you finish it out with some oil and buff with it up with some wax, it just pops.

I grabbed a couple blocks and didn't sand them at all. They were just rough cut from the band saw (and back from the stabilizer). I oiled them with Danish oil, let them dry and buffed them just a bit with some wax. You can see the bands of curl all through the wood. The front two pieces are oiled and waxed, the back piece is raw but has the same amount of curl. When you get these on a knife and finish them off, these are going to look nice.
