Often a tool or knife blank becomes magnetized attracting metal filings and chips that you don't want. The last thing you want is a magnetic folding knife that would attract metal filings to get in the action.

To use this, turn it on and drag your knife blank or tool across the magnetic plate. Done. Usually one pass it all it takes.

Tip: you can also use these to magnetize a screw driver - which is handy. Simply place the screwdriver on the magnetic plate, turn it on and off and you are ready to go.
