Making Damascus is not an exact science and occasionally, there may be an inclusion of slag. If you can't work around it, we'll replace it. It's the nature of damascus that every piece is unique and each pattern picture is meant to be representative and not exactly what you will receive. The thicknesses are approximate. They may vary by a few thousands. We try to list the thinnest dimension. (You can always thin out material but you can't add on to it.)
