Grease sticks are used to provide lubrication to prevent gouging and tearing of metal when using abrasive belts or abrasives on your buff wheels. This grease stick by JacksonLea is formulated for general use in grinding and buffing. To use: put a very light coat on your new abrasive belt. Very light! On a buff wheel, give your compound (greaseless only please) a light coat just after the 'head' dries. Less is better than more. Tip: Using grease on belts when grinding doesn't make sense at first. The grease helps the metal grind away instead of gouging or tearing away. It will also help the abrasive break down evenly giving you a smoother grind. Don't use these on belts that tend to 'melt' or smear when they get wet. Tip: Try a small dab when hand sanding. Remember, it doesn't take much.
