Operation
The KH Series is designed
for knife makers whose shops and workbenches come with a mortgage. Simply plug
the KH into any standard 120V household receptacle and you're ready to go. We
build our KH ovens with full stainless jackets and corner mount our hinge
assemblies for long life. Our doors swing out and use phenolic handles for cool
and comfortable operation. The controls are easy and straightforward. It's a
well proven design you'll enjoy using.
KH knife ovens are stock
equipped with our exclusive Set-Pro three button control. We do
offer the KH series ovens equipped with our optional Rampmaster control. The
Rampmaster is our full featured control and appeals to those needing more than 4
stored programs or like the idea of a numerical keypad. We offer the KH in two
depths: 13.5" & 18". All KH models are 6.5" wide x 4.25" high. KH 418
6.5" W x 4.25" H x 18" D 75lbs shipping weight 120volts, 12amps, 1440watts, NEMA 5-15R plug,
Door power interrupt switch is standard on KH models, optionally add $50 for KF models.
Max temp on all Evenheat knife ovens is 2200F

You will not pay the shipping amount suggested by the shopping cart. Identify which oven you want, let us know via email to tracy@usakms.com or phone call (listed Home> 'about us' page) and we will get you the shipping costs for a final total.
Method 1 to order: You can finalize your shopping cart by selecting the cheapest shipping method shown and then tell the shopping cart you will mail a check or money order. You won't get charged but it will save the item in a cart and give us something to work from for the shipping quote.
Method 2: Just send an email or call. We'll work it out. These ovens are all drop shipped from the manufacture located in Caseville, Michigan at zip code 48725. These are made to order and construction will take no longer than 2 weeks to make and ship.
Freight charges are calculated upon purchase from Caseville, MI to your destination. You can see what UPS charges would be via UPS.com and entering the Caseville zip code of 48725, your zip code and the shipping weight. UPS will probably not be the lowest cost shipping so you may pay less than what UPS shows..
These ovens/kilns range in weight from 70lbs up to several hundred pounds. Freight bids are solicited from 3 different carriers and the oven/kiln is shipped via lowest price bid. You will then be charged for that shipping amount. We will not take a mark up on the shipping.

Controller
Welcome to the
Set-Pro, our easy to use 3 button temperature control.
Set up to 8 segments per firing. Each
segment controls rate of temperature increase or decrease, temperature
(setpoint) and temperature hold time.
"On-the-Fly" features allow you to add
time, temperature or skip ahead.
The Set-Pro contains no pre-set,
performance limiting programs. You're not locked into a firing program that
doesn't fit your needs. For the glass artist this means you can fire glass from
all manufacturers with confidence and ease.
The Set-Pro is standard
equipment on the Hot Shot and all Knife Ovens. It's also available as an option
on all RampMaster II, most GT and GTS kilns as well as the
Copper. |

| Performance Details:
Programming
The Set-Pro allows you to control the
rate of temperature change, final temperature and any desired temperature hold
time up to 8 times per use or firing. That's 8 segments of control that's simple
to program and use. It should be noted that it's not necessary to use all 8
segments when firing. If you need only 1 segment, you're free to program only 1
segment. Want to use only 2? It's possible. The point is that the Set-Pro, with
it's three buttons, is uncomplicated and easy.
The Set-Pro also allows you to store up
to 4 separate firing programs. This means you can keep your favorite programs in
place and use them when needed. No need to re-program, just pick your firing and
go.
"On-the-Fly" Time and Temperature
Adjustments
During a firing it is often necessary
to extend a soak/hold period or add more temperature to get the perfect result.
With the Set-Pro you can add more time to a soak in 5 minute increments or add
more temperature in 5° increments. All while firing. There's no need to shut
down and re-program. This is a very cool feature that adds extra flexibility
right when you need it.
"On-the-Fly" Skip
Ahead
For those times when "enough is enough"
the Set-Pro allows you to skip or move ahead to the next firing segment. Very
useful when your satisfied with the current results and need skip ahead. Great
for getting to the anneal quickly!!
"On-the-Fly" View Segment
Feature
It's always nice to what the controller
is doing during a firing. Our View Segment feature tells you which segment
you're currently firing and whether your ramping or soaking. Excellent, need to
know info with the press of a key.
Review
The Set-Pro includes a Review key that
allows you to double check your program before actually firing. |
