G10 is a glass based pressure laminate. It is used on knife handles and is similar to Phenolic in looks and application. Wear a respirator when grinding or sanding. This is basically fiberglass and inhaling glass isn't healthy.

Micarta(tm) is a Trademark of Norplex-Micarta. The term Micarta is often incorrectly used as a common reference to what should be referred to as phenolic laminate. Micarta is a specific product from Norplex-Micarta.
