Directions for lacing: 1. 2. Remove 1” from a couple of the inner strands by peeling back the outer woven sheath, snippping an inch off two inner threads and then move the outer sheath back in place.
3. Clean up any loose threads by slightly melting them with a lighter. Most of the time you don’t have to do this. If you make too big of a melted glob on the end and the end cord won’t assemble properly. This is nylon and melted nylon will stick to skin and burn skin easily. Be careful.4. If you want the lanyard to be threaded through something, now is the time to thread the cord through what ever you want. Otherwise you can push a loop through your item and then through its self for a typical lanyard attachment.5. Thread the two ends through the black piece as shown.6. Place the two end threads into the slots of the white piece.7. Push the white end down into the black piece while pulling on the cords to ‘help’.8. There should be a point where it softly snaps into place and the end result will be like the assembled end cord in the picture. It takes some effort to get it to fit. I use a needle nose pliers to squeeze the parts together. If you just can’t make it fit, you might have to remove 1 more inner cord from each end cord for clearance since every paracord is not exactly the same size. |
