If you need to make a knife that is going to the sand box, this may be what you need. This tough G10 is a light Tan color, like sand. It has a slightly heavier weave texture than linen phenolic normally has.

G10 is a fiberglass based laminate that is very durable and tough. It can be ground, shaped and polished. Wear a respirator when working on this material.

Micarta(tm) is a Trademark of Norplex-Micarta. The term Micarta is often incorrectly used as a common reference to what should be referred to as phenolic laminate. Micarta is a specific product from Norplex-Micarta.
